In the UK, HR are often less involved in the earlier stages, and actually become a problem at the latter stages of the process.
Tech hiring still sucks hard though. We like to think there are simple clean bias free processes we can follow and repeat for awesome hiring, but somehow still go with the gut at the end of the day.
