Absolutely, especially because you said you have the time. My best hires over the years have gone above what was requested of them during the interview process.
If you focus on being enthusiastic about the position rather than negative about their site, you should be fine.
I started reading this expecting not to like it, because a lot of blog posts with gratuitous F bombs in the title are by morons. Totally not the case here. Plenty of honesty and inspiration. +1
I think articles like this are great, but the sad reality is that you'll never be able to convince a vaccine denier to change their mind. They already know their beliefs contradict scientific consensus, so providing them with additional data won't change anything.
People who think this way only react to personal experience and anecdotal evidence. It's going to take someone they know getting sick to get them to reconsider.
I understand how textbooks can be expensive. It's simple supply and demand. Fewer people buy textbooks than other types of books, so they cost more.
That's where my empathy ends. It seems to me that there's a huge problem with unethical sales practices and underhanded tricks to reduce the used textbook market. This article's title should have been about the shady textbook companies rather than simply the prices of new books.
It's really too bad that Mt. Gox is tanking and that a lot of people are losing their money. It's probably better for the overall bitcoin community if they just go away, though. They've been dragging down the market for a while, and their wallet software isn't implemented correctly. They were the first, and I'm glad they existed, but amateur hour is over.
That being said, isn't the joke that you have a really long domain name like ismycatstillalive.com and then the only content is a simple answer? I feel like ismycatstillalive.IsMyQuestion.com just isn't as funny.
I wonder if they let you point your own domain at them with an alias DNS record...
You've got to admire this. Everything in that post makes complete sense and is stuff I've read time and time again. For some reason, though, I keep falling into the trap of trying to perfect everything I make before I let anyone else see it.
I cannot believe that they would make this opt-out rather than opt-in. I love most google services, but they're really starting to go too far with stuff like this.
These "Snow Fall" type stories definitely look good, but taking over scrolling is going too far. You've got to let browsers be browsers! Playing an animation before you can see content is very 2001.
