I think this could bridge the gap for many people stuck at A level and trying to cross to actual communication, which requires lots of interaction so that the words and sentences start popping up.
Made me laugh, but also made me think of all those bad experiences I had working with teams from Indian / Pakistan... I can definitely imagine those guys watching cricket instead of pushing new code.
Went from Android to iOS too.
Basically did a lot of back and forth between Stack Overflow and Xcode. Apple documentation was pretty helpful too, I wish I had more time ingesting it.
I'd recommend making lots of small projects to experiment one thing at a time. Then build your bigger projects from those small blocks.
Google content policy is now very clear :

From a website called "atomtips", it seems kind of biased !
Anyway the dealbreaker for me was the very slow start of Atom (and I've got a very good machine). When every app loads instantly, I'm not going to wait 5 seconds for each new window of Atom I launch.
We could all argue for ages about the legality of such action, but we all know what popcorn time is for : browsing and viewing copyrighted material.
The real issue is the current state of copyright law, created from an obsolete model and then molded through intensive lobbying from the interested parties.
It was said thousands of times, and we will probably need to say it thousands of times more to get this to change.
That's the last app I'm working on. It's quite a challenge to go for a Weather app as there are bazillions of them on the AppStore, but I really enjoy the challenge of it.
The feedback have been great for now (it just launched 2 days ago), and I hope to make it even better !
I did not feel the need for a smartphone, now I can't live without one. Maybe this is symptomatic of technology disruption, or just that I do not have the "early adopter" spirit. Wait and see.
