I agree. It's a big pain point for me. I've been using ConEmu recently which supports resizing and has tabs (among many other features). My favorite other feature is the tasks: you can define a set of steps to run as a task, then launch that task in a new tab.
I ordered mine on the first day, so I presume it was an early manufacturing run. The magnet in mine seems fantastic. I've had no issues with it staying in. I can't, however, compare it to earlier models as this is the only MacBook I've owned or used extensively.
I noticed that about the subject. It doesn't stand out. I get the same feeling from the Mail app for Windows 8. About halfway through this article there is a screenshot of a message being composed. The subject there seems equally hidden.
The dev team I am on currently has five people. With all of us working in the same code base, I find the code reviews are a good opportunity to understand the changes my fellow developers are making. While reviewing code isn't strictly required on my team, having your code reviewed generally is. My personal incentive for reviewing is for my own understanding.
