I went to UCSD and had good friends who went to every UC (except Merced). I spent a lot of time at each - I can tell you UCLA is the best school to go to in the entire system if you want a well-rounded college experience. The demographics, location, prestige, size, reputation, academics, are all "more perfect" than the rest of the UC's.
