I would like to see the correlating data regarding the increase of ethanol in gasoline with the rise in food prices/riots as well. I seem to recall that just before the Haitian riots in 2008 there was an increase in ethanol mixture of gasoline.
There are also folks who do what is known as affiliate marketing that may be behind this. GoToMeeting may not have actually placed the ad, however an affiliate marketer (3rd party) may have placed the ad in hopes to get click through dollars.
These people will be contacted by the modern world one way or another. I choose to help them not treat them like animals to be set on display at a zoo. Let them be the decision makers in their own destiny. Like the guy said, loggers will come in and kill them. We can at least give them the ability to speak for themselves. And that unfortunately means someone is going to have to make contact with them.
I have to say it sounds like you received the not so invasive pat down procedure of old not the new and improved stick your hands down my pants and twist pat down procedures.
A friend told me he flew into San Antonio yesterday and not only had his junk touched but it was twisted to boot. He said he didn't even get offered dinner first and he was afraid he'd get arrested if he'd punched the guy in the nose but was really just too freaked out to do anything.
This is what the government wants; sheeple that will let them even mess with your private parts without response.
You do realize that this is a Western societal phenom? I work with women who are from India and China. Quite a few of them in fact. What is different in their cultures that they have so many women in this field and we do not?
If old technologies die out because of newer and better technologies then that's called progress. Why should the newspapers be immune to this? If they can't make a product that people want to purchase then they need to adapt or die.
My office had the usual dress causal atmosphere until one day our new manager decided to make his mark by having dress up Wednesdays. So I decided to wear a formal complete with gloves(glad to know Ada did it too). I was the belle of the ball. I no longer work there but the guys have continued the tradition in my honor and dress in tales and top hats. :)
Boy isn't this the truth. My last job the project manager was great at getting everything in writing and a signed contract up front. It made life so much easier. When they came back with we want this too. He would just point at the contract and say, once we've completed this contract we can make a new one for the additional items you would like. Worked like a charm.
