I found the handwritten Mark Zuckerberg signature a little pretentious. Maybe that's because of The Social Network, but I don't feel like other CEO's are using their own brand like that. It's like a fashion designer or even an artist signing their work... My video was not THAT good.
Thanks for the additional information. It was difficult to decipher your problems from the original article. I'm guessing the "no variability in load" processes are where AWS was the most unnecessary.

I started a thread when I could not find the AMI (honestly confusing that you must launch it through the AWS marketplace outside of the console), but now I've updated it with my current problem. Perhaps we should start a new thread for this issue.
Has anyone had any luck? I've set everything up and followed their instructions, but the URL they give you to access the web interface keeps timing out for me.
"This guy is a hardcore Linux geek converted into hardcore Mac-fanboy (polar opposite)"
I disagree that these are polar opposites. I have been a Windows guy most of my life, but after switching to Linux, I have learned to appreciate the merits of the UNIX basis of OSX.
Looks like a lot of people are interested in developing apps for Ubuntu Mobile. So much so that the website is already down: http://developer.ubuntu.com/gomobile
This is incredibly sensationalist. iPads are great for the run of the mill soccer mom, but anyone who wants to get any real work done needs a personal computer(Mac or Windows, trying to be unbiased in this regard). Microsoft Office isn't going anywhere, and I don't think anyone expected the 1st generation of Surface to succeed. Windows 8 is a fine operating system primarily criticized by people who used it for a very short amount of time. The Surface Pro has not even been released yet, and Apple is slowly losing their knack for innovation. Let's not throw our stocks in the air and beg Apple to take our money yet. This article draws ridiculous conclusions on shaky data and successfully draws the attention of those looking for Microsoft's downfall.
DISCLAIMER: I use Windows 8 as my main operating system.
The notion that normal desktop applications will not run on Windows 8 is incredible. I could download Minecraft right now, and it would run without a hitch. People need to use Windows 8 and realize that it is an iteration of Windows 7. It feels like Windows 7 with an interesting tablet overlay that I never use.
Yeah ideally we all work for understanding, cool tech companies, but unfortunately that's not the truth. I recommend you buy another similar, safer domain and have this one forward to it.
