Yes, I'm living in Iceland. Our car market is quite a mix. It's mostly European/Asian commuters but also with plenty of bigger US cars, mostly pickups.
I've been using an E-bike for the last year and a half in my small town. It basically removes all the tediousness of bad weather from biking and ascending.
I don't need to cover great distances everyday for work, groceries or kindergarten runs but it's been breeze on the bike. Yesterday I rode through 5-10 cm of fresh snow, with a child in a bike trailer.
I got a model with large tires and a bit of a front suspension, so it's an all-round bike. I can easily explore trails and nature, most of the time with a child mounted on the bike, while it's still very nice to ride around town.
High quality studded tires make it safer and easier to bike than walk during icy conditions.
The camera is located on Fagradalsfjall and the eruption is in Geldingadalir. The exact location of the camera I do not know, but its somewhere in the ~1km range.
I was just venting to a friend about the massive comeback of popups/banners. "We value your privacy" is a huge part, another one is after the first few pixels of scrolling, "Please support/subscribe to xxx today". So the popups may have a bit more of justified content, but there are plenty of them. And this is while using adblock, pi-hole and other stuff.
I do get the occasional missing messages in the desktop client but what I notice most is that it gets unstable and weird when there is a update available (which I don't get notified about). Desktop and laptop with Ubuntu btw, signal installed via snap if I recall correctly.
