The thermal budget is impossible to escape. Maybe in an asteroid it could be possible, the whole surface becomes a thermal radiator and the whole asteroid a thermal mass. But still no convection.
I meant compared to the glory that the theoretical physicists get. I can't find any general public / mainstream work that even mention him as a crucial scientist in the development of the nuclear industry.
Actually, two satellites have already been launched: GIOVE-A and GIOVE-B [1].
And now, things should go pretty quickly, we probalby are 2-3 years away from having a decent fleet flying. Although I can't find a source for it now that I need it...
