When Android overtook Symbian, Symbian was a more capable OS than Android, this had nothing to do with capability. Android was able to copy iOS faster.
Finland is in very early stages of "just thinking about it". it probably will not be implemented. International media can not even get this story about a country in Europe right. Imagine how bad or incorrect their news reporting about "other" countries is.
amazing that its 194kb and you think this is very small. what world are ver living in that web development has made us so sloppy and inefficient, when MB's of script downloads are considered slim.
While the education in Germany is no doubt great. But the benefits of studying in Harvard or Stanford outweigh free education by miles, IMO. I got my MS degree in Finland, my wife got her MS and PhD from Finland. But we both want to send our kids to Harvard or Stanford.
APPL said research kit will be open source, so if that is indeed true, then it will depend on those non profits if they will support android. if health kit gets ported to android.
I used to work for a mobile company, I used to get new phone every other week, it drove me crazy... Now I carry no phone with me at all. But I don't go around telling people that I am better than them, because I have no phone or that I have a "distraction" free iPhone, an iPhone is still a hell of a distracting gadget.
IFTTT surely has a lot of potential. IOT device management might become a problem for normal users, if IOT does become mainstream in the future.
The normal scenarios which we can think of right now for example coming home and things turn on to appropriate settings, blocking phones during meetings etc are surely easy for us to understand, but my parents if they figure these things out and can setup such tasks them selves, I see a huge market and use for such services. It is still too geeky for normal people, it needs to provide use cases for normal folks not just tweeps or facebook generation.
IFTTT needs the money, their servers used to be slow when I last used it.
