I was hoping this would be a system that determines what kind of faces go with different kinds of names, like "Hm, he doesn't really look like a Steve."
This is where I am. All of the techniques in the article sounded familiar to me because, thankfully, I do them intrinsically. What I need are ways to stay interested in a given project. Any suggestions?
I'm disappointed in the number of people commenting on HN that assume AI = robotics. A true AGI will solve robotics itself whether it's already instantiated in a robotic form or not.
How much of the fun of this game is dependent on geographical location? Would it be worth playing at all in small towns/cities? Similarly, how would having friends you see every day playing affect it?
This would be a lot more difficult if it weren't for the sound and image - it occupied parts of my mind that would go crazy without any stimulation for that long.
The dev seems pretty devoted, and also very vocal on his Facebook page at least. There's already an update waiting for review at Apple. Hopefully we're in for some good additions soon.
