Exactly right. We're based out of Australia so it's horribly annoying to see so many cool startups that don't provide service to us down here. The majority of voice/sms startups these days use either Twilio or Tropo (including us) so that severely limits the cost or even use of a service for Australians.
Does this utilise Twilio? Would love to see a pricing structure and what countries it's available in before registering. Is it tied to a single phone or can you set different numbers on a per meeting basis?
There's no better App Store marketing that the top lists and on a slow week it will only cost $125 (30% cut to Apple) * whatever number of sales it takes to break the list. Much cheaper than a big ad campaign. Very smart way to game the system.
I guess it's all about balance. A lot of these foods get eaten because they are quick and simple and easy to distribute round the office for late night food runs. I don't see many late night salad delivery joints. I've been guilty of it myself far too often.
That said I completely agree with the article. There's no point working/eating yourself to death if you can't enjoy the proceeds. Take some time out from work/coding. Cook a nice healthy meal and follow up with some exercise.
I found it very interesting that joining any of the Australian Professional societies (Engineers Australia, Australian Computer Society) as a Software Engineer we have to agree to a set of bye-laws and a code of ethics with fairly harsh internal penalties.
Personally I think it's a brilliant idea and wish that more professions adopt a similar thinking (I don't know of any that do but then again I haven't looked very hard).
Never got around to creating the bookmarklet since uptake was low and I find going to the website simple enough.
The integration is very nice though!
