They still seem to be around. Not rocking the world yet but I'm surprised that they haven't come out with a cheaper model. Might be harder to cast than expected.
So what does activity monitor or ‘top’ tell you is running? My 16 runs quiet unless I’m compiling and I run multiple vms and am impressed with how it runs.
The part you are missing is that 'agile' has spawned it's own industry that is going to be hard to supplant. From the 'if it doesn't work you're doing it wrong' to the 'we look busy so we must be busy' it's going to be some time before we can put agile behind us and get some work done.
What puzzles me is that MS refuses to get away from the OS in many many versions: Home, Pro, Enterprise, Education, Mobile and Mobile Enterprise. You would think that they would have copied Apple on OS and Server and be done with it.
Make a copy of the base and you always have a return point.
