I think the US created Starlink for military use. It provides world wide coverage and very small latency that helps a lot with UAVs. UAVs that aren't in line of sight need satellite communication. They just allow the public to use part of it, so as to reduce the cost of the system.
Simply put when there is lower power factor, there are higher losses into cables. And It is not always negative power that causes this (as many say). For a bridge rectifier the power is always positive.

The article fails to address the controversy between Greece and Euroasia interconnector. The only reference I can find is that in the top image, the line connecting Attika and Crete became dashed at some time. Also Greece cited that Ariadne interconnector is a company with only 25k capital and no previous completed project.
Which is mostly an advertisement. Probably the main author is linked to the Euroasia Interconnector.
Also note that there is little reference for the Greek part of the interconnector for which there was a great debate. Greece decided to create the part connecting Crete with Attica on it's own citing delays that cost Greece hundrends of millions a year because it is forced to operate diesel plants in Crete.
Also Greece also has the longest and deepest AC connection in the world under construction (2 cables connecting Peloponesse with Crete). One of the cables is already operational.

What most people don't understand, is that Starlink is a military first service. Their primary customer is the US military. The most obvious application is UAVs where latency is critical. The consumer part is probably just marketing. It doesn't make much economic sense. Imagine they wanted to launch 1000s of classified military satellites. Everyone would be opposed.
Jami is a very good p2p messenger - teleconferencing app. There are still some bugs, but it is usable. The next version is probably going to have group chats.
The most probable thing is that APU are low margin products and if they released an 8-core APU like in mobile they would have cannibalized the non APU parts
And still no Desktop APU since ZEN+.(Except Renoir which is only for OEMs). Maybe AMD wants you to buy non APU cpus so that you also buy a GPU from them.
