We work with fortune 500 companies and have HIPAA compliant offerings, so we are very sensitive to privacy and security concerns. Fundamentally the models need to operate on whatever browser tasks users ask Autotab to perform, and we need to use frontier vision models like 4o and Claude to reliably perform them (model providers are the affiliates in question). If you have specific concerns happy to answer them.
Thanks for the note, we will try to make the install instructions clearer. The desktop app is available via a download button on the homepage: https://autotab.com
For 2FA, different users take different approaches. Everything from teaching Autotab to pull auth codes from their email, to setting intervention requests at the top of their skills, to enterprise integrations that we support with SSO and dedicated machine accounts.
That sounds like a really good use case! we're constrained by model costs but are interested in offering a lower cost plan – if you email me I'll see what we can do [email protected]
The free edit mode has all of the features of run mode, and lets you fully test the skill. The only difference is that inside of a loop it will ask you to click to continue.
A lot of AI tools promise the world and don't deliver. We explicitly don't want anyone to pay us until they're sure Autotab can do their task, even though the model costs during editing are actually much higher than during runtime.
We have unlimited free editing, so you can fully try everything out and know your skill will work before we ask you to subscribe. You also get 5m of free runtime. Subscriptions start at $39/month with 300 minutes of runtime included.
Right now we do not let you BYO llm, but it's something we would love to provide an option for where possible!
If AGI is going to 100x GDP, it will need to be able to use a computer.
Autotab is the first digital robot that controls a computer like a human. It excels at the highly repetitive tasks that make up the worst parts of modern knowledge work. If we succeed, we will provide the platform that unlocks the next 100x productivity increase, and frees humans from trillions of hours of soul-crushing work.
We are second time founders backed by OpenAI and YCombinator. We are live in production and are working with some of the biggest companies you use every day to handle critical tasks that humans used to do. We’re rapidly scaling up to meet demand, and building a 5-person founding team where everyone builds product and talks to users.
If you are technical and have founded or want to start a company we should talk!
Working on this layer at https://autotab.com. This sounds like an amazing problem for browser automation to solve, would love to talk with you if you’re interested!
For sensitive information that appears in the DOM during recording, there is a chance it could be included in a prompt to the LLM. We're using OpenaAI via API, which is SOC 2 & 3 compliant and does not use data for model training (supposedly) https://trust.openai.com
You could do a version of this if you always open your Youtube videos in the browser instance your autotab script spins up, but short answer is not really. Macros like this are super interesting though, and we've talked a lot about ways browsers could be designed for AI and automation like this.
Interesting, sounds like the kind of stuff we're excited about helping with! Would love to hear what you think once you try it, email is in my bio if you're open to a chat.
We're just getting started on it ourselves but it's a really fun problem. I think the useful thing from our findings so far is that simplifying the DOM representation really helps the model reason about state.
