Microsoft has a serious issue with thinking it's ok to wake up from sleep mode. I added a script to the task scheduler to resleep if woken up by anything other than the power button[1]. In retrospect, the wake ups were either to perform updates or some kind of bug related to transitioning to hibernation which ends up with the pc idling on[2]. Both of which would result in the classic hot bag / dead battery situation.
I wanted a split for ergo while working and an easier time gaming since I play with my keyboard 90 degrees. Not many options in the split market, but hot swappable is a killer feature considering the price difference between switches and a new keyboard. The small right shift was a pain since it's the one I use the most but I got used to it. Other than that the firmware is programmable so you can do whatever you want.
I have it paired up Kailh speed copper switches. They feel like laptop switches where there's no travel before the bump. You're just immediately pressing the bump.
I think the bigger problem is the design pattern of "mobile-mode vs desktop-mode". The document isn't meant to escape hatch on size, individual elements are.
The Priv is still my all time favourite form factor for a smart phone. Typing benefits are self explanatory but having your thumb off the screen by swiping on the keyboard was super nice. It was a total step backwards switching to a fixed keyboards.
I've been using Tor with proxy disabled[1] ever since that fingerprint tester[2] was posted a while ago. I figure of all people forking and hardening a web browser, I trust the tor project the most. I'm no tracking expert, but it's the only way I've been able to score a non-unique fingerprint.
It's worth noting when doing this it registers each anchor in the browser history. If you want to avoid this, checkbox hacking with the :checked selector is an option.
