I don't know that these questions were ranked in any way. I didn't get that impression...it wasn't top ten questions to ask. Asking about how a QA manager handles testcases is a pretty fundamental part of the job, and a good indicator for the hiring party, when evaluated along with the rest. Also, the questions are coming from a company focused on automated testing from what I gather, so, yeah, it's gonna be in the list.
I personally love insects, and even have a fondness for spiders, but even while I love to watch them weave webs, I still get that yikes reaction when a spider lands on me unexpectedly, and can't stand wasps or bees near me, even though I know they're more likely to sting me if I swat at them...it is definitely an ingrained thing, or I'd be able to watch a bee crawl on my hand without fear, just as I would watch fascinated when it gathers nectar from a flower.
Yeah, I too came in here to complain at the interface hall of shame's rather sorry design elements...No reason GP design couldn't have cleaned that up before posting it. Also, if they're going to post old content, why not post an updated version showing today's disastrous examples
Just looked at the android side of things (Canadian side of things). Not one app in the top 50 had an app rating less than 3. The only big name in the top ten below 4 stars was Canadian Tire.
I know from experience the hassles of point and click testing when a previous company tried to skimp on QA...my job was to write the user stories, but ended up testing half of them myself. Not enough testing at all, especially considering it only consisted of 4 devices, all of the same model. (PM, developer, a secretary and one QA guy later in the process testing on a company given device). The worst part was that even on the same device model, different results were happening. That ain't right. All in all, would have killed for some automated testing on that project. On a side note, wish I could provide some info (a warning)on what the company was that operated in this manner, but I can't.
Well, if you read the beginning of the post, that's mentioned too. The theory that alot of people are suffering in silence so to speak. A ninety percent negative rating though...that almost puts a guarantee that there is a fire, not just smoke.
