Rymdport v3.5.0 has finally been released for making sending files using the Wormhole protocol better and easier than ever before. There is now support for drag and drop as well as a shiny new theme with rounded corners.
Wormhole-gui has evolved a lot over the years and has become a lot more than just a graphical interface on top of Magic Wormhole. To reflect that more clearly, wormhole-gui has now been renamed to rymdport.
Now onto all the exciting new stuff that has landed since v2.1.3. This release has focused deeply on usability improvements and bug fixes, but there are also many new features and performance improvements. Some of the notable changes are: support for sending with custom codes, UI scaling and primary color can now be changed in the settings tab, and support for verifying sends and receives before they are accepted.
The Fyne Conference is back for another installment in 2021. We are holding a half-day virtual event to discuss all topics about the Fyne toolkit, its community and the applications built around it.
This release features a lot of fixes and improvements, but most importantly, it also features release binaries for FreeBSD and macOS (M1) on the arm64 architecture. See the link above for full release notes.
I am happy to announce the 1.0.0 release of Fyne Calc. Pre-built binaries are available for FreeBSD, macOS, Linux (amd64, arm64) and Windows (amd64). Mobile builds will be up on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store as soon as they are accepted.
Good point. I might have to update that. I have never actually tried transferring between two networks and did not want to advertise i in case it didn't work.
It is literally using the same wormhole-william backend that I am using for wormhole-gui. I don't quite see how that would be any different. Interestingly enough, I have actually never gotten that one to work :)
I think it might be worth mentioning that I am planning on adding mobile support pretty soon. Some experimental work has already started on the mobile branch: https://github.com/Jacalz/wormhole-gui/tree/mobile.
Okay. Might be good to open an issue for that on https://github.com/fyne-io/fyne. I personally use Linux as my main development platform and cannot reproduce it.
