What is the name of the animated visualization on the front page? I thought it was static, but it is an amazing way to display such a dense and dry subject. 10/10
Now I am interested in who the CPA is. Wonder if he is taking new clients? What other interests does he represent? If I was in this situation I would want to talk directly to the CPA to try and understand the situation a lot more.
The value these jobs create is the fabric of modern society. To quote the article, "Just shut up Mom, it's Christmas." Not saying they should be paid as much as doctors, but without these normal things that were lost during the 2020 shutdown I suspect that the protesting/looting would become more prevalent.
When we look at the issues that are behind the thin margins that restaurants operate on, i.e. rent and cost of goods, then it seems that the labor is the only variable that is under the operators control. So instead of framing the argument of whether we should have to directly pay those wages/tips the discussion needs to shift.
Not saying this is the case, but when a business shuts down the property it operated in stays in place. The rent will continue to rise to meet the financial demands of the property owner. So the next fool comes in and tries to run a business that is doomed. The young workers rents are subsidized by parents. Unless a restaurant owner is working in the trenches then they will NEVER be able to run the business effectively.
The banks get richer either way, but at a certain point there will not be any restaurants left as the societal contracts erode.
Recently I added my YT API key on a Kodi box at work and it "poisoned" all of my recommendations I see on my YT homepage. I look at it as a feature and not a bug, as it has curbed my ability to go to the home page and be entertained. Compared to the other plugins/add-ons that change the thumbnail or hide all the recommendations this seems to be a preferable alternative.
It is more steamed than baked. All of the moisture is intact which leads to a lot juicier piece of meat. I recommend the GoSun portable unit that is ~$100 to explore cooking with the sun.
Also it looks like they are searing the outside in a way by using the clear dishes over an opaque material that is directly absorbing the infrared heat.
Yes. Find another avenue for virtue signaling that contributes on a local level. Paying for the right to be a roaming advert is what has been advertised to you, hence you are repeating the cycle.
I do wear these brands, but try to subdue any labeling. i.e. black sharpie on the nike logo.
The current breeding techniques have produced varieties that are not conducive to the socialization (i.e. sativa vs indica). After legalization the market will need to have the marketing for sativas/socialization strains that will drive the development of happy/euphoric/uplifiting strains that do not promote sleep.
Sounds like a good opportunity to teach the kids about solar. The solar ovens were such a memorable experience, but I suppose the cloudy days would be tough. Teaching the kids about DC to AC conversions at the same time as office politics would be a valuable life lesson!
Make eye contact with every person you can. Smile through the awkwardness. Verbally greet people when in close proximity. Ask people questions that are specific to your interests ("I see you have a sports team shirt on, I too like sports ball!")
The next step is to find your confidence. Some other folks here mentioned a hobby or other activity to make friends. For me I found a rollerblading and roller skating group, because I had skated so much on my own I was able to use that confidence to fit in with the group. 70% of my friends as an adult came from that group.
And my last piece of advice is to play the "Yes" game. Whenever an opportunity presents itself then accept. You have more time to do this while you are young. This is the opposite advice as what entrepreneurs give, but when you are in college find as many opportunities to do as many new things without getting into trouble.
As for Halloween, dress up, get a big bag of candy, and try to give it all out. Do it with poise and grace. People will remember candy dude and more than likely you will find a group to tag along with.
The ability to configure the options and not have every interaction tracked does make Linux the best option. However unpopular that may be.
The Dell with Linux out of the box had cooling issues and a high-pitched fan. Sure the cores would be disabled to deal with the power issues, which supports your point.
Think about what is important to the demographic that is playing Fortnite, is playing the game more important or is having an Apple device?
There are kids that are in elementary school that wear Fortnite clothing. The brand is everywhere. I am sure some actuary did the math on it so that Apple will come ahead, but the optics on something like this will sway brand loyalty for years in this demographic.
Don't forget perfumes! Some work places have banned strong perfumes on the grounds it affects others. Having a really strong sense of smell, I would rather smell cannabis smoke over strong perfume or really any chemical smell.
My guess is that the content will be generated and produced in an automated manner. Or the new company will bring in their own production team for content.
You need a high birthrate to continue to suppress wages, don't forget about that! Once to population curve starts to flatten out, I do not see private insure prices going down as they will not be able to let go of the profit hence driving prices up higher.
