Something I really do not understand about the linux community is why it seems to simply be incapable of coordinating and focusing efforts. How many distros are there of many more engineers all working in a totally defused manner to never even get close to a threshold level necessary to become an even slightly competitive offering to Win or MacOS.
There seems to be a lesson to be learned about humanity in that dynamic; it is a reflection of the whole of society where the ruling class' real power is the ability to focus its interests and get others to advance their interests for them, while the masses of the population are not only unable to organize effectively, but it takes very little effort to sew the seeds of fragmentation and diffusion.
I am sure people will knee-jerk dismiss the following, but it's almost as if Google has been invaded and conquered and turned into an Indian/Chinese/non-American company with a vast majority of the salary wealth flowing into the hands of those who have diminished allegiances to the USA or American values or even western values and that value is flowing out of the USA and into the hands of non-Americans by various means and methods, including remittances.
Who would have known considering the Google CEO is an Indian paper-American that still has such a strong Indian accent that he is largely unintelligible even after 24 or so years in the USA.
We do have good regulations on sharing, the Constitution, which should have prohibited the very back door mass surveillance that is going on right now as a function of the 4th amendment and the government's inherent interest in business and interstate commerce, i.e., data.
Reality though is that not only are the same forces that are going after our right to defend ourselves, and our right to free speech, they have long been going after our right to anonymity from government and allowed the clear and utter violation of our "right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures".
It's one thing if Facebook, et al., were open and clear about "we provide this service in exchange for being able to track every single thing you do and keep every picture you upload and sell that information to any number of companies however we see fit" and you say "ok, that's fine by me". But that's not what actually happens and they are actually a de facto authoritarian surveillance state.
What do you do when you have that pesky 4th amendment that keeps you from setting up the Department of the Surveillance State??? Well, of course, you fund and support and ally and create "partnerships" with those * wink, wink * private companies to do the mass surveillance. It's basically the same kind of back door violation of the Constitution like the 5 eyes agreement that "well, if we can't spy on our own poeople, we'll just have the brits do it for us and then just tell us what they find" .... That's constitutional, right?

The far more interesting aspect of this post and article is the twisted nature of the article title. It almost feels intentionally twisted and perverted.
The only real strategy is to totally pollute the information with false and erroneous information, while also setting up ways to prevent tracking and fingerprinting and associating. I am somewhat surprised that someone has not yet really emerged as having developed a business model around assuring privacy. It could be dedicated routers with firewalls and built in VPN that also mask device names, combined with browsers and extensions that intentionally pollute browsing history and fingerprinting data, and sends bogus queries and also allows you to set policies for cookies in a little more user friendly manner to only retain specific cookies of specific domains, etc.
But that does not scale for elite globalist AI and robotics based total domination control of society. When you have human investigators you have a human weak link that could turn on you. Robots and AI don't ask questions .... ever.
I feel like you are at least looking in the right direction to possibly realize that the "education" system is not at all primarily about "education", let alone about students. It's foremost a baby sitting service provided for the economy so that professionals and workers can make it to work and provide their labor in a system that was levered into forcing women into the labor force too. Beyond that it's a system to sustain the teachers' union lobby mob and the behemoth of an industry that is a parasite on the "education" system, including facets of the technology sector.
There is a reason that the USA squanders multiples of money that other educational systems around the world spend with horrendous outcomes from it, and it has nothing to do with "education" let alone "think about the children" beyond simply being a tool to manipulate and strong-arm the public through guilt and manipulative lies.
Just take that in for a second. We have no idea who much the left, and others, has essentially capitulated to the 21st century's version of the particular authoritarian socialists that called themselves National Socialists in that incarnation.
What people don't realize is that just like the cancer of communism did not die with the fall of the Soviet Union, the authoritarian socialist brethren did not die with the fall fo the National Socialist or Italian Fascists in Europe. Fact of the matter is that they became even more dangerous through the cure illusion, the delusion that the problem is solved, the illness is gone after stabilization through medication or treatment has been achieved. We thought that communism died with the fall of the USSR and socialist authoritarianism died with the Nazis and Fascists, but reality is that we simply ignored them and acted as though everything was fine again, and as we took our eye and attention off them, they grew even more perniciously and secretly than they ever could when they were as overt and blunt and brutish about it.
The communists and socialists are at the gates and the mentally ill and delusional and feeble minded liberals of western society are throwing open the gates in a state of utter manic derangement.
This will all not work out the way people fantasize. There will be no happy happy fun time under a fantasy lie of sharing and caring and singing kumbaya together. At best, the elite will totally and utterly dominate and control the world and the people in it far more akin to how the elites did so before the American Revolution; worst case is that the elite ... as they always do ... push the structures of society beyond their breaking point and total and utter collapse and destruction results.
It never seems to dawn on anyone that the elite, the "educated", the academics, the scholars, the "learned", the technocrats, the atheists are always the ones that cause the sheet destruction they always do. It's never the common people. There's not a single example of regular, common people that the aforementioned have such distain and contempt for that have every in all of human history every caused even remotely the level of destruction and depravity as the elite and their sycophantic ilk.
You bring up a couple of interesting points even if you don't realize it. There are a couple of things that impact your experience that are externalizations. For example, your "cheap" healthcare is largely due to massive amounts of subsidies and NGO work that goes into helping third wold countries provide such "cheap" medical services. In many ways, due to rather authoritarian types in control in government in the west, who think they have the right to steal from their own citizens through taxes in order to "help" others, it is actually even more expensive for Americans in particular to receive medial care because none of those costs of shipping off billions and trillions of Americans' dollars overseas to "help" others is ever included in the cost of things like healthcare. You may ask yourself how that correlates, but it's because, e.g., while American doctors and people are overseas training and "helping" others, they are neglecting their own society and people, and while billions upon billions are spent to subsidize and "help" others, those billions and billions of dollars are drained from America and Americans and their communities, which in turn is money that they cannot use to receive quality healthcare in some cases.
Another point you bring up is that while you are using facilities that are spartan compared to US standards but more than adequate for providing health services, in the USA the very same people who lament the cost of healthcare want well appointed and lavish facilities that are beautifully designed and have cafes and restaurants. I have this kind of argument all the time in a country where people think that a $120 million dollar library with a $10 million dollar yearly maintenance and operation cost is an even remotely reasonable cost when you could provide the very same kind of service in a facility that isn't like a luxury hotel.
It's not just that doctors don't face the same kind of fear of malpractice suits, those doctors are also not under constant pressure to perform unnecessary procedures to pay for the $1.3 billion ... yes, BILLION ... hospital and the health care sector in many countries is not the scheming and conniving and fraudulent get rich quick kind of scheme it has become in the USA. In many of the emerging countries, doctors and hospitals perform their services out of a desire to help people, in the USA there is a whole cottage industry of the medical services that has figured out how to latch onto all the various Socialist schemes Liberals devise on how to dispense with other people's money to "help", which affords them fleets of private planes and ocean side mansions.
The fact of the matter that we can't even discuss, let alone even mention the realities of these matters on account of the PC authoritarian goons going after you and silencing you and banning your accounts, is quite telling.
It's quite unfortunate that regardless of when, all of this current liberal, PC, postmodern insanity will result in horrific results, because nothing can deviate so much without causing repercussions, regardless of what they may be.
Just take your last point; we simply can't even discuss, let alone bring up the fact that the "death-by-childbirth" rates that you lament as being so high, are localize to specific ethnic and racial groups; but because the PC nazis will go after you if you if you don't, we are forced to imagine and repeat that the USA suffers from these third world problems not because there are exponentially more third world people in the USA than in ANY developed country.... while we are compelled to chant "diversity is our strength" at the end of the barrel of a gun.
