Poll: What IoT platform do you prefer prototyping on?
Just curious what boards people are hacking on! Comment if you prefer using a board that isn't listed.

From a technical point of view, the TI stuff was great for starting out. Their Sensortag is a great little bit of hardware for getting your brain wrapped around embedded dev, plenty of code samples (for both the firmware and integrations). OTA updating the firmware from an iOS/Android app is great too.
That said, the requirement of using IAR to compile (which is a minimum of $2.5k after the 30 day trial) sucks pretty hard.

I've used several of these boards but I'm still not sure what "Internet of Things" actually means beyond marketing hype, unless it is just a new name for what we used to call "embedded computing".
