US government shutdown almost happened but was averted by last-minute stop-gap deal (which ultimately resulted in an partial government shutdown months later)

US government shutdown scare. The debt ceiling crisis + government shutdown of October may have contributed to bitcoin's rise this time around. Another one looks to be coming up in January / February
