Ask HN: Visually highlight the new comments since my last visit ?
Oh heck yeah, this would make HN WAY more useful to me.
Currently I work around this by forcing myself to wait a while before visiting the comments page, then visiting it just once, because if I come back it is typically too time consuming to scan through and figure out which comments I've read and which are new.

Booya! Your comment somehow reminded me of a firefox addon I used and I totally forgot about ... until today.
I am very happy, thank you.

Sounds like a job for a Greasemonkey script
Yes, that's what I was thinking. Has anyone done it before, or am I the only one frustrated when I follow long comments thread ?
How do you guys do to avoid readind the comments again when you come back ?
Indeed. Try this one I threw together:

Is there a quick way to visually highlight the new comments that came up after my last visit to the post page ?
Example: Let's say I visit a thread at 12:03PM. If I come back later, the comments that were made after 12:03PM are light green.
That way, I can quickly read the new ones without reading again what I have read already.
Thanks.
