Ask HN: A list of all specialty coffee?

As soon as you copy data from Google Places (e.g. the address) it's copyright infringement (their terms are pretty strict). Same for Yelp, Foursquare etc. Taking the same data from open sources like OpenStreetMap is easier but then you deal with the ODbL share-alike clause. You'd need to mark which data came from OSM. And if you mix in your own data you have to make it available under the same open license (e.g. download-able for others).
Collecting the data yourself (https://tally.so/r/3jWBQa) should work. Still I would instruct users not to copy any data from other sources.

If I just link to the google page is it ok ?
Sprudge coffee news has a maps listing for specialty coffee houses. I don’t think it has had much work done on it in a while. (And I see my shops listing is out of date. That is on me, not them)

Indeed, if I look up Paris, only 4 shops are listed.
You need to update your listing on their site ? It's not automatic ?

You can filter by city and get a list, with link to the google page (reviews, photos, adress...) of all specialty coffees in town.
What do you think ?
