Inspiration is a recent comment by aonala mentioning this review and critique of UK IP law published now over a decade ago, of which I find no previous mention on HN. See: <https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39087624>

Defending linking the Reuters synopsis over the full report as 1) the synopsis will be more graspable by the HN readership and 2) it's an HTML link rather than PDF, latter of which introduces further frictions.

Though I suspect this is mostly of interest to the kind of person who's interested in this sort of thing.
