Maybe because it's not possible? The climate goals are being proved out as completely unrealistic. You can't power the world economy on renewables sans nuclear and/or fossil fuels. And many mitigation/carbon credit programs are either utterly useless or near frauds.Businesses have been lying to themselves and others that the goals pushed by politicians and NGOs are achievable. Or maybe it's just pretend naivete knowing that the efforts will fail. Either way a colossal waste of time and money that could be directed to more productive uses to better the world.

There's not going to be much of a world left to better if we don't get a handle on climate change.

By reading reports of the research which has been done on the subject for many years.
