That desktop pretty much looks exactly like my first Linux desktop, from pretty much the same year. I had colour though, but that might be a subjective word given how limited it was at the time before the flood of different window managers etc came down.

The Atari Unix workstation must be an amazing retro computing device to have today.

There was a colour card for the TT, I think. It went in the VMEBus slot.

Yes, they are very desirable from a classic computer point of view. The few I've seen for sale went for vastly more than I was willing to spend.
