Great talk! An earlier glimpse of this Decision Matrix process was discussed during the 'Lessons Learned' talk by Alex Miller (2019), specifically "Enumerate Alternatives and Tradeoffs" - https://youtu.be/KeZNRypKVa4?t=2231
A firehose of inspiration, and lots of directly useable tips and tricks. I was notetaking to the video, but stopped after 20 minutes (of 60) because I couldn’t keep up with the pace.
Many issues were explicitly excluded from in-depth discussion (e.g., when to switch to the Scientific Method in the design process; or diagramming), because these issues were out of scope or the talk.
Rich Hickey should write a book about all of these things.

Stu Halloway (also a member of the Clojure core team) has a couple of great talks on using the scientific method in programming: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FihU5JxmnBg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUZZKtypink
That was such an educational experience! Great talk and speaker.
This was actually really helpful and instructive. A ton of info here, I’ll have to watch once or twice to get it all, but great stuff!
