no kidding -- lots of municipalities, in the US at least, request people to tune in to AM stations during serious bad weather/road conditions/emergencies.
Irvine, for example, has signs for AM 1640 during emergency conditions.

It's not an oversight, it's a deliberate removal. I guess they don't want their customers to be able to receive safety broadcasts.

Ok. Tesla made some exaggerated claims. But anybody who buys an XX-ready device is asking to be duped. (fill in XX=self driving, HD, whatever)

Well, who wants to buy a Tesla knowing that if you complain about their service you could be banned from Twitter? And what if he-who-shall-not-be-criticized does an LBO of, say, Wells Fargo (remember, he wants to make Twitter an “everything app”), then you’ll lose your bank account, too.

Tesla cars can't receive terrestrial radio? That seems like a serious oversight.
