I have no idea on how this works, even after watching the video and reading the whole landing page. What is the difference from a regular linter? What sorts of problems would it catch?

To answer your question, regular linters only fix syntax error. Tensorbox is capable of catching logic and functional errors understanding developer's intent.

I'm sceptical. I've seen so many products like this. Why should this one be different?

Why not for Pycharm?
We currently support VSCode only, but PyCharm will be next:)
