Infosec Update Site Launched - Feedback Please

Hi,

We're launching our new startup, Infosec Update today. Just as HN is for 'classic' hackers and startups, IU is for Information Security news. I'd really appreciate it if those of you that are infosec minded could take a look and post feedback. For those of you that aren't infosec minded, I'd really appreciate any feedback you can provide on ease of use, layout etc.

My comments:

Looks good. Design fits to the target market, it looks pretty easy to use, great logo.

I'm not at all interested in computer security, but I imagine for those who are, your tool would be excellent. It also will drive traffic to your product, which I guess is the real reason for this.

Great job, well executed.

Thanks for the feedback. One of the sub-goals is to drive more traffic to our main site as well as to raise general awareness. There is a staggering lack of decent information aggregation for our niche, hopefully this site fixes it.

I like the way you've used slinkset, but it'd be better with tags. I'd also like to be able to hide posts that I've read.

Slinkset doesn't report tags, but this has been submitted to the slinkset team and they are working on it.
