That’s a bit of a sensationalist stretch headline. The actual meat of the article is that Instagram/Facebook tells you accepting ad tracking helps to keep Facebook free. Which seems pretty obvious, that is their business model after all. Seems like quite a leap to go from this to “Facebook threatens users who block tracking“
Jumping on the Facebook hate wagon is what gets you clicks these days. Apple stated their policies, Facebook did what they asked and complied. It is their business model and revenue being threaten, I don’t understand what else should be done on their end. Mind you, with this policy change and Apple being on their privacy-morale high horse, the other day I found out for Apple to track you for personalized ad targeting is an Opt-out instead of opt-in like they request from all app developers on their platform.
