I don't get it. This doesn't have a pi in it, it's "pi compatible" ? Looks dangerously close to trademark infringement ? Maybe patent infringement? Why "pi compatible"? I suppose this means software not hardware since not same form factor and no I/o pins ?? Why not just say it's a linux machine? This is open source but pi is not ?

Yes this is true. Only the highly educated have anything useful to say. This is why HN is so brilliant and diverse. We have opinions from all over SV and from all walks of the tech world. We know the world so can give voice to the world. The common sorry of comments on a news articles are usually so ill informed as to be embarrassing, you can tell that because they are typically nothing someone from HN would consider. The moderators on HN and the highly evolved intramural voting do a great job ensuring that open sophisticated voice is rarely found elsewhere.
