There are some symbols in Hindi which are not characters and can never exist as their own character but when placed next to a character they create a new character. So when you type them out on a keyboard you have to bit two keys but only one character will appear on screen. Unicode too represents this as two separate characters but for human eye it is one.
Only if they had told the city official that they were planing to cook meth and sell it on streets then these inspectors would have totally turned a line eye on this little operation.

What I would have preferred is that Canada removing the burden off the taxi companies and let them give competition to Uber in innovation space instead of trying to bribe politicians to act as gatekeepers.

The real problem with most american cities is that there isn't that much crime yet the politicians feel the need to fight non-existent unfightable crime by making our lives miserable. California could have lead the way in offering good solutions for homelessness, mental illness, drug war, school choice etc. but yet it pushes for more and more nazi styled policies.
This might be just an oriental way of living. I am not sure why researchers are hell bent on classifying almost anything as some kind of mental issue. I frequently stepped out of workspace to grab a hot coffee and my psychologist friend told me that drinking hot beverages frequently is a person's way of coping to the lack of emotional warmth in life by replacing it with material warmth!
Homelessness should not be a problem in USA where land is plenty. If homelessness is a problem it is mostly because cities are not growing horizontally fast enough.
The miserable war on drugs is the failure of the society to acknowledge that people have right to their own life and even thought we may not agree with their choices we must nevertheless support them to exercise their right.
Drugs destroy life ? They dont destroy it as much as spending 10 years in jail for having few gms of heroine.
The overall theme of politics these days is to create an "other" group and blame everything on that group. Demonise that group and take more power in hand to then hurt them to cover up the failures of the government doing basic things.
Muslims, illegal immigrants, Asians, China, Blacks, stoners, hippies, Rock musicians, top 1% etc.
Thus government gets to pretend that they are doing something for "us".

Vast majority of illegal immigrants perhaps just keep their head low and work hard. Also, they barely get anything from welfare and work below minimum wages. It is probably the criminal aspect that is sucking the system and good solution for that is to decriminalise drugs and help American companies sell drugs for a profit instead relying on Mexican cartels.

I know founders who had employed 10+ American being rejected visa and sometimes entry for no good reason. I have seen cops, CBP officials and other government departments harassing these individuals all the time.
10-20 years is not the time taken by government. It is essentially anti-asian discrimination where the application is simply kept in cold storage. Take $10k from the person and give him green card in 1 month.
This makes H1B worker more restricted who is already screwed up pretty bad. Government can not track where people work. Can the person work from home ? Can the X Inc. rent out their 4 cubicles to Infosys?
The obvious solution for H1B is to increase the cap from 85K to 200K or so while giving instant green-cards to all the pending applicants.
