>me submitting a YouTube video for a private audience (demonstrating a new feature in a web site I developed for a side client) that got broadcast to all my friends on Google+ was the last straw.
No offense, but how did you manage to do that? I've posted a few videos to YouTube in the same manner and have never, ever had an issue with it.
Well, in the other corner you have NVIDIA, who still won't (and I'm willing to partially blame Canonical) step up and say for sure that they will support KMS and/or Wayland. Without that, it's going to always be something of a workaround to output wayland-on-nvidia and won't be a really good experience.
This is an interesting time to point out that we're one of two Democratic countries with a debt ceiling. It's never, ever been used as a political chip.
UEFI+SecureBoot can be implemented on ARM devices. And already is in almost every case, it just isn't turned on except for, as an example, most Verizon/ATT variants of phones.
Dan is right. I assumed that was why I was hellbanned and I was clearly behaving poorly in that thread. Fortunately, since they brilliantly combined a hellban with a slowban, I knew immediately. I'm not really sure why I keep posting - figured I goofed [that thread is embarrassing] and I'd feel dumb groveling to have an account unbanned when people create one-off troll accounts everyday here.
Though it is frustrating when I see entire threads go on about bits of technology and then my comment is the only one pointing out some super relevant related tech. Oh well.
I really wish someone would link the article that was yammering about the A7 and how it was going to lead to desktop/phone convergence.
The HN comments were very insightful and mocked it as it deserved to be mocked. Meanwhile, while people circlejerk over iOS + bluetooth keyboard and laugh at the Surface... Microsoft is, you know, actually working on an OS that will truly bridge the gap across devices.
I switched. Chrome is still significantly faster in Linux though (startup and rendering and general browser responsiveness [switching tabs, etc]) And yes, I test regularly with Aurora and Nightly.
The implication that this was Democrat led or is a remotely partisan issue is highly amusing.
It's like my cousin who I debated wiretapping with 10 years ago. Now he's an enraged as I am and pointing it at Obama and all I can do is laugh at his short sighted anger.
