I own a web dev company. We do everything in C. For 10 years we've been doing so. The advantage is, we can do anything and everything. We do it faster, too. And we never have to wait for the language or some library to catch up to the new stuff. There is nothing we can't do and speed or platform is never a limitation. In fact, there's always this underlying feeling that coding in anything but C is crazy.
A third of the movie did not jump around dick shots. You dwell on the Facebook ending with was maybe 30 seconds? And if you're looking for realism, dramatic movies are not what you should be commenting on.
I'm not the one to ask but, on the FreeBSD forum, it's all that's talked about. That is, everyone is using it and there are a multitude of questions from people asking how to use it. From what I gather, it is every bit as good as Solaris or at least approaches it. Again, I'm a FreeBSD user but not the person who would know.
Ya' know, I've noticed a LOT of posts here pointing to new blogs with only one (in this case) or few articles and all have the same site theme, with the black header at the top.
I don't know what that means or why it is but I'm saying it's been at least a dozen over the last couple of months.
My brother is in construction and tells me similar stories about how they always leave something obviously wrong for the building inspector to find so he'll ignore the piddly things he'd otherwise complain about.
