A technical error gave OpenAI access to internal comments, drafts, and source information in the Schibsted newspapers for over a year.
Internal comments in Schibsted's publishing tools are used for feedback on articles, for writing drafts and rough drafts, and for transcribing interviews. The notes can also be used for handovers with sources' contact information.
> If you use ad-blocker: they'll embed ads into the video.
Someone will eventually make an AI adblocker that will dynamically update the video with all ads removed or replaced. For example, let's say that I specify to my AI streaming video editor that "detect all bottles and glasses with alcohol and replace their contents with water and their labels with Liquid Death"
Similar technology will be/is already used to e.g. display a Coke can for some markets and a Beer can for other markets, depending on who paid for that market.
The process is still complicated enough to be "enthusiast" (aka nerd) territory but it is getting better with every release. It will still be here in 10 years, nobody can take it away from us.
I am running HA with Conbee II using zigbee2mqtt in docker, and it is very stable and easy to use. However the Conbee II stick needs to left at an older version of firmware. The most recent updates of Conbee II firmware are unstable.
Used to have fun back in my childhood playing Round Sounds from a set of speakers on the roof of the apartment building. People on the street started looking for the airplane.
For another example of the same behaviour, watch the development of Sports in European cable - Viaplay for example. Starting 2016 the headlines of the press has been "Viaplay chockhöjer priserna" ( Viaplay shockingly raise their prices )
They have now jacked up their prices to a level where customers are now not only leaving(1), but actively hating the company online(2 - see comments), as well as teaching friends about pirate IPTV alternatives. At the same time the management of Viaplay have raised their compensation levels to ridiculous levels. The company itself is suffering financially from all this, but management is richer and fatter than ever before(3).
The applause.dev home page makes bold claims about "transparency" yet the names behind the company are hidden and nowhere to be found. Why would a company want to keep the names of their CEO, founders and owners hidden?
I understand that the transition hasn’t been entirely smooth. Recently, there was a change in the signing certificate for the app, and unfortunately, this change wasn’t communicated properly to you, our loyal users.
Well, with recent revelations of money spent on EU politicians, it would not be surprising to find just that. Money. It's rather naive to think that all the Russian influence operations have been found and revealed already.
The code is surprisingly short and compact. It looks as if if the classification could be adapted to extract "highlight" snippets from podcasts as well, which would be a usecase I would be interested in.
