All of the games that feature this mechanic are bad, empty, fintech husks. Often they feature same neon vaporwave artstyle, maybe with apes, and usually are transparently asset flips designed more to to feature on cryptocurrencies landing page then to be played.
No good games include this ridiculous use case that I cannot imagine anyone who plays games even a little bit to want.
The VC world and the economy of online startups are almost like a planned economy. The extremely wealthy allocate money for these expensive yet unprofitable online services, like uber, doordash, and UpWork, almost like socialist central planners. So many of these modern businesses would not exist without the safety net of the extremely wealthy.
Also, how is DoorDash still unprofitable, despite taking 30% commissions from restaurants, and 25% commissions from delivery costs, during a pandemic which has many people locked inside??? It's like the Quibi excuse but somehow worse.

On twitter, im fairly sure AMP links are not hosted by Google. They use a standard developed and pushed by google but I believe the pages themselves are not served by them unless they are accessed from google search.
I agree with the size complaint. Its unbelievably annoying when I have to embed a bitmap image in a pdf and turn some 75kb jpeg into a 26mb pdf for compat reasons
I still love flatpak, and much of what this article states is hostile and outdated. The "XDG portal" specification makes filesystem access less popular then before. Also, "fakepak"? Really?
