I've had it for a few years now. One time I got a throat infection and it amplified to a slightly louder volume. It went down to its original level a few months later, but the time when it was slightly louder was scarier than when it first appeared. I was worried it was going to keep increasing.
"In the polar Southern Ocean, cold, fresh surface waters overlay warmer, saltier deep waters (Fig. 2A). During winter, surface cooling and sea ice formation reduce stratification, allowing vertical mixing to transport heat upward, either melting sea ice from below or limiting its growth (8). However, decades of surface freshening strengthened stratification, trapping subsurface heat at depth, sustaining expanded sea ice coverage (7, 9) and limiting deep convection along with open-ocean polynyas (10). Here, we show that since 2015, these conditions have reversed: Surface salinity in the polar Southern Ocean has increased, upper-ocean stratification has weakened, sea ice has reached multiple record lows, and open-ocean polynyas have reemerged."
The point is that staying relaxed in boxing during sparring or working the heavy bag feels counter-intuitive in the beginning. It seems like tensing up the core and arms would help punch harder, but you quickly learn that conserving stamina is more important than hitting as hard as you can (especially when starting) because otherwise you run out of gas pretty quickly.
Being relaxed is important in boxing too, if you don't stay loose and relaxed (other than snapping explosively when throwing a punch), it is easy to get fatigued quickly and also harder to slip or roll.
I switched to Kagi in June last year. I just realized I tried it initially because I wanted to try out blocking sites in search results, and I have only ever needed to block three domains.
There is a paper linked on the article which says potential causes for the dust distribution are Kuiper belt object collisions and radiation pressure (I'm assuming from the sun?) pushing dust outward
> New data (Figure 3) at larger heliocentric distances show that the SDC-reported dust f l uxes, out to 55 au, remained higher than current models expected. Each of the three physical phenomena: optical properties and radiation pressure (Arnold et al. 2019); compositional variation between silicates and ice (Grigorieva et al. 2007); and a further reaching than currently identif i ed distribution of dust-producing bodies in the solar system (Fraser et al. 2023), may contribute to the data/model deviation.
At one point the senate had plans to make slaves special clothing to distinguish them, but then dropped the idea because if the slaves saw how they outnumbered their masters they might revolt.
'The discovery of bejel-causing Treponema in Brazil 2,000 years ago doesn’t directly disprove the idea that syphilis came back with Columbus, the researchers say. But the previous evidence for diverse Treponema strains in fifteenth century Europe and the revised evolutionary timescale for T. pallidum makes it even more unlikely. “All this points in the direction that they are not being imported from the Americas,” says Schuenemann.
One possibility is that treponemal diseases emerged even earlier in Eurasia or Africa, and reached the Americas with the first humans to migrate there at least 15,000 years ago.'
My experience is, I gave up using clion on a pretty large c++ project ever since they moved to clangd (it used to be decent before) because some functions gradually became much slower to the point of being unusable, eg listing symbols in a file.
The same functionality works quite well in vscode.
But I tried this release and everything works really well on the same project.
This is strange as my usenet (eweka.nl) renewal failed this week on my Kotak card, and when I retried with an ICICI card that failed too, although the amount is quite low.
