I have a friend who works as a recruiter at a place that helps companies sell their trash products via whatsapp (what a disgusting invasion of capitalist greed into formerly personal communication spaces) that pivoted to doing it via LLMs. It's run by two grifters who couldn't tell the difference between a LLM and "ChatGPT", it's all the same for them. yet the roles they are hiring for are called "AI engineer" and such. When it was founded, the company was a clothing brand, before pivoting to ecommerce. Can't wait for that useless piece of shit "startup" to go out of business (after my friend finds a better job).
I agree in most of your comment except that it's an overly pessimistic take, in my view. You can still get jobs outside the corporate/capitalism driven Sodom that aren't soul-crushingly pointless and boring.

I agree. In my opinion, it's another manifestation of individualism promoted by the capitalist system in the US - in urban design, in this case. Another commenter pointed out how they only see their neighbour when they both walk to or from their car at the same time. It sounds sad to me, but some might prefer it that way.

Honestly that entire interview just reveals how much of that poor guys thinking is already infected by the virus called capitalism. Accumulating personal wealth shouldn't be the end goal here. General advice for spaced repetition is to make flashcards atomic i.e. as small as possible, as in the OP, but general advice for language learning is to always learn words in context instead of on it's own, for example in example sentences. Have you figured out a solution combining those two goals?
Maybe it was just in the German speaking world, but such projects were called "template" or "boilerplate" ~10 years ago. When did we start calling them libraries? It doesn't add any functionality as one might expect from a library, it 's just an opinionated change to the default CSS shipped by browsers. Not to say that this is a bad thing, I just disagree on the terminology.

Really? Do "we"? I don't. Maybe Sahil does, but he also realised his parents were mortal and our lives are finite in his 30s (?). I find this trend on social media and in blogs where people make a personal discovery and frame it as if it applies to everyone really condescending.
