Big in denmark too. My parents always used it as a way to regulate our candy-intake, by postponing all candy until the weekend, so i’m surprised to read the intention was sort of the opposite.
I’d also note that Scandinavia is big on “hygge” and being home (unlike countries with warmer climates) and weekend snacks and sweets are an obvious way to make the experience comfy.
My dad would go fishing on the beach with his formula 1 labrador. While my dad was in the water fishing, the dog would swim around him in circles. It could swim for an hour without break. It was very cute and impressive, but of course it would also scare the fish away. The dog would also be quite curious about the seals, but I've never seen them play like in the article. A lovely dog, but they have an uncontrollable appetite which can be pretty annoying.
To me it seems there are more hobbyists than ever. It's finally "cool" to play DnD, Covid gave hobbies a big boost and people yearn to do something away from screens.
Wow, this is pretty cool. I work in radio and with these devices. If anyone is curious, sound devices is everyones favourite, zoom f3 is the new workhorse on the block and the sony pcm d100 is the old discontinued legend… all three in top 11, which tells me it’s not all talk and we in the industry actually can somewhat tell what sounds good.
Whenever i see a Dungeon Keeper pic i am immediately inclined to go play again. If you havn't seen, there's a wonderful fan expansion fixing basically everything: https://keeperfx.net
If you're interested in this kind of thing, Tavis King is one of the more knowledgable people with regards to mtg. Here's him mapping a booster to print sheet, to see how many Lotus' are still out there, possible to be opened: https://youtu.be/nnYe8FWTu_o?feature=shared&t=184
My brother has narcolepsy. It is interesting how it presents itself in different people. I have never seen my brother fall asleep while occupied with something (walking, talking...) but I have seen him fall asleep so many times when he is not.
The moment he gets in a car and it starts driving he falls asleep and very deeply. He would fall asleep in class all the time. The first time i really saw his narcolepsy expressed was during a daytime dinner. He had just had a big meal and while we were all sitting and talking, he just kinda nodded off.
The sad part is he has felt quite embarrassed by all this growing up. These are not dangerous situations, but it just feels awkward for a teenager. He also talks and walk in his sleep. Even worse is that no one believed him when he suggested he might have narcolepsy. Our mom is a doctor but figured he was just tired like all young, growing boys. It took a brain scan to get it sorted.
He's been prescribed Ritalin or something similar, but manages without.
