Hello my mother gets much handwritten documents and she wants to put that into text. Is there a way to get this workin? Preferably free, but if it’s not much of a cost, she can ask her IT apartment to get something like a plugin OCR for ChatGPT. Can you recommend something? The handwritten documents are horrible to read I tried whisper to record it while reading it out loud but there must be better methods.

On my Android phone I can take a photo of handwritten text, then use lens to select the text. Depends on how clear the writing is, but that will apply everywhere. Also it's free.

Have you tried Google cloud ocr? I had pretty good experience with it.

No, i didn’t but it asks me for credit card information which is kinda meh
