Having no interest in Starcraft 2, this article seems like spam, especially with its sensationalist headline.
Come on. This post is a waste of time. Arguing that the start up economy is going to suffer due to the release of an "awesome" video game = true waste of time.
Well, if anything, he's proving himself correct. The game is wasting his time! And now, by extension, yours.
And mine.
NOooooOO!

Heh, what value is lost in work will be regained by so many people enjoying themselves so thoroughly. What is value if not enjoyment and happiness? I for one am more eager for Civ 5 though.
I'm not very interested in Starcraft 2, but I can guarantee my productivity is going to go to zero for a week or so after Fallout: New Vegas comes out this fall.
I don't even want to think about what'll happen once Civ 5 ships... Hopefully I'll temporarily get bored with it after a month or so.

Its true, my cofounder and I played the beta between working on our startup for at least 2 hours a day.
The Chinese version of the game will have all of these features, Starcraft 2 is just a conspiracy to get the US back ahead.
